Finance Manager - North London

Are you a reliable, confident Finance Manager that can lead our Finance Department? Do you have in-depth understanding of business principles and practices? Are you an analytical thinker and a problem solver? Can you thrive autonomously as well as collaborate with other departments; which all have a wonderful mix of personalities? If you are fanatical about Finance and have a desire to making all the difference, we want to hear from you!

Why you are valuable:

You will be responsible for the financial health of HiB, producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research to inform the decision making of senior executives. You will also be responsible for the Finance Team to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently.

The person:

We are seeking a reliable and professional individual with;

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications (3-5 years PQE)
  • Several years of proven previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in preparing and analysing management information using Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data privacy standards and FX derivatives.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, public speaking skills.
  • Finance Software knowledge
  • Experience in Payroll

How you will be making a difference:

  • You will manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Guide and support the finance team of 6 people, including financial assistants and part qualified accountants.
  • Contract and liaise with external services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
  • Track the financial status and performance of the company to identify and promote areas for potential improvement. Confidently purchase currency for the company for suppliers.
  • Research and be aware of methods for minimising financial risk to the company.
  • Analyse and review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports to present to the Directors, executives and clients.
  • Prepare budget reports for approval.
  • Provide insightful information and guidance to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  • Staying up to date with technological advances, new trends and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Working hours:  Mon- Thurs 0830-1700 and Fri 0830-1630

Installations Manager - Tamworth Distribution Centre

We are looking for an installations manager to become an integral part of HiB. You will  be project managing a first-class installation service to our retailers in order to showcase our range of products in the best way possible.  If this is something you can do and you want to be a part  of  our innovative and forward-thinking team then apply now.

How you will be making the difference

  • Being accountable for the Installation team.
  • Liaising with the Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Proposing, planning and coordinating each installation project, efficiently monitoring key dates, inventory, costs, materials and equipment.
  • Reporting business performance KPI analysis.
  • Management of the Inspire House Showroom, Exhibition vehicle and the product sample & promotion display area.
  • Carrying out detailed site visits/surveys in order to report, guide and advise your team.
  • Offering advice on effective in-store product placement to boost HiB brand recognition to maximise sales opportunities.
  • You will be responsible to ensure all Health and Safety practices are adhered to.
  • Being responsible for all customer communication for the duration of each project.

What you will need to be able to “do the job”

  • Proven experience of managing installation projects and team members.
  • Proven Electrical knowledge to NVQ or City and Guilds (18th Edition) level of competence
  • Up to date knowledge of current Health and Safety Regulations and the HASAWA Act 1974
  • Up to date knowledge of working construction regulations 2015 relating to Design and Management.
  • The ability to create Standard Operating Procedures and provide Health and Safety training information when required.
  • Be available to travel during unsociable hours and flexible to travel at short notice if required
  • The ability and confidence to make timely decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to carry out Risk Assessment and Method statements efficiently.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Confidence to use electrical hand tools and equipment correctly and safely.
  • Ability to read and understand technical information and drawings.
  • Experience within the Construction Industry is preferred though not essential.

ASM Support Administrator - Tamworth Distribution Centre

In line with Company Strategies and the overarching team goals set by the Sales Support Manager, you will provide day to day support  and assistance to the  Area Sales Managers.

How you will make a difference;

  • You will process orders from the Area Sales Managers on a daily basis.
  • You will provide daily telephone assistance to the Area Sales Managers
  • You will effectively communicate with internal departments.
  • You will co-ordinate orders with the installations department
  • You will support the Area Sales Mangers nationally with brochures
  • You will assist with presentation material and data analysis
  • You will check the accuracy of the data, the orders and the invoices
  • You will carry out additional duties where required and as requested by the Sales Director.

Experience / Attributes;

  • At least 3 years Administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP software would be advantageous.
  • Adaptability/flexibility and the ability to problem solve effectively.
  • Strong communication and team work skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Strong written, numerical and verbal skills.

Working hours: 08.30– 17.00 mon – thurs 08.30 – 16.30 fri.

Operations Operative - Tamworth Distribution Centre

Why you are important

We are seeking a reliable individual to work in our Operations Department. Working as part of the team within our busy Warehouse, you will be an integral part of HiB, making a daily contribution to our customers Journey in providing support and structure to our Supply Chain.

You will add value to a growing company where communication is paramount. You will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met in line with HiB standards.


Right stock, right time, right place!

How you will be making a difference:

Ensure H&S policies and procedures are always adhered to at all times.

Carefully unloading and checking packaging on in coming stock deliveries.

Carefully picking & packing orders for loading ensuring correct specifications are followed.

Palletising/organising products correctly ready for transport.

Ensuring orders are loaded safely onto delivery vehicles and dispatched with all required documentation.

Replenishing stock levels

Efficient Manual handling.

Operating handling equipment ensuring safety regulations are followed.

Maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping in all areas of the warehouse

Developing your knowledge of the processes of our WMS systems to make sure orders are booked in and out correctly.

Assisting your Manager with other tasks when called upon.

Quality Control Operative - Tamworth Distribution Centre

Why you are valuable

Reporting to the Product Technical Lead, you will be a key member of the Quality Control team, building and maintaining relationships within the team and the wider business and ensuring the quality of products remains consistent with HiB standards.

How you will be making the difference

  • Ensuring all Health and Safety practices including MHE (manual handling equipment) are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensuring the quality and safety of HiB products through various testing procedures
  • You will be responsible for completing all required testing and recording any quality issues found.
  • Reporting any trends or reoccurrences of faults to the Product Technical Lead to investigate further.
  • You will assist the Product Technical Lead in any analysis and investigations into faulty trends and issues.
  • You will be responsible for the day to day completion of quality checks.
  • You will actively prioritise product checks in accordance to business and customer need.
  • You will be responsible in ensuring all checks are carried out timely and consistently in accordance to the required standard with a focus on the customer, this includes:-
  • Completion of safety tests
  • Completion of product audits
  • You will be proactive in the development of product standards and checking methods.
  • Carrying out any additional Q.C duties as requested when required by the Product Technical Lead.

What you will need to be able to “do the job”

  • An excellent technical knowledge of all HiB products with the ability to understand technical specifications.
  • Flexibility around working hours when required.
  • Be customer focussed whilst protecting the interests of HiB.
  • Be confident in decision making and problem solving
  • Have a sound understanding of the supply chain
  • Always pay attention to detail
  • Experience with working with Microsoft Office software
  • Proficient in carrying out Quality Control check including electrical.
