A community club that provides access to sports for adults and young people has been sponsored by HiB.
The Cheetham Hills Sports Club near Manchester has been providing sports training and facilities for more than 200 years and is close to the heart of HiB’s Marketing Director Steve Kaye, who has been a member for more than 35 years.
Money given to the non-profit organisation has helped to maintain the squash courts, supported the installation of new heating systems and floor, which will allow members to train all year round.
Talking about the Cheetham Hills Sports Club, Steve Kaye said: “I have been at the club since I was 15 years old, as player, coach, Chairman and now non-executive advisor. The club focuses on providing kids football, bowls and squash and is part of the North West County squash league, the biggest squash league in the world.
“The sponsorship from HiB helps the club get ready for the tournaments benefits the members and visiting players post Covid. The future of the club relies on generous donations from our members and companies such as HiB. It makes a real difference to help keep the club alive and provide great facilities for the next generation of squash players.”
The sponsorship of groups and projects is at the heart of HiB’s vision to make a substantial difference to the community. Throughout the year, the company works hard to provide funds and donations to good causes and projects to improve people’s lives.
