HiB’s Managing Director Robert Ginsberg joined interview host Matthew O’Neill for a thought-provoking podcast discussing leadership and the role it has played in his career to date.
The Leaders Council ‘In Conversation’ podcast invites business leaders, politicians and other influential figures to discuss their thoughts on leadership, business and the future of Britain. The recent episode featuring Robert Ginsberg and former England cricket captain Sir Andrew Strauss, discussed different leadership methods and how to encourage the next generation of leaders. The show also covered HiB’s approach to the recent Coronavirus outbreak and the outlook for the business going forward.
During the show, Robert was invited to answer a series of questions which offered an insight into what being a leader means to him and how influence and inspiration from others has helped him to develop his own style of leadership.
Commenting on the interview, Robert said: “It was a pleasure to be asked by The Leaders Council to contribute to their series of podcasts and offer an insight into my experiences as a leader and where I have developed skills throughout my career. When looking for guidance on leadership, I think it is important that we draw inspiration from a variety of sources, whether that’s our colleagues, influential speakers, books or other leaders. It allows us to see a broader perspective of the world around us, shape an informed opinion and become a more rounded person and leader as a result. The Leaders Council podcast is a great opportunity to have a conversation about what it means to be a leader and how businesses can navigate the challenges currently faced by us all, as a result of the Coronavirus.”
The popular podcast is featured on The Leaders Council website and is also available on all the major podcast platforms including iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.
Matthew O’Neill, who regularly hosts the podcast along with co-host Jonathan White, commented: “Hosting a show like this, where you speak to genuine leaders who have been there and done it, either on a national stage or within a crucial industry sector, is an absolute honour.”
Lord Blunkett, chairman of The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland added: “I think the most informative element of each episode is the first part, where Matthew O’Neill is able to sit down with someone who really gets how their industry works and knows how to make their organisation tick. Someone who’s there day in day out working hard and inspiring others. That’s what leadership is all about.”
