Two new charities were have been selected by HiB after two rounds of nominations by staff. They are Aspire Powerchair Sports Club and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Aspire PowerChair Sports Club is a self-funded charity dedicated to providing sporting opportunities for people with physical disabilities. Fundraising is key to enable the club to hire training venues, equipment and enter teams into National Competitions. Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal illnesses. They are best known for their network of 2000 Marie Curie Nurses who work in the homes of the terminally ill patients across the UK. They have nine hospices across the country and are the biggest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS. All of their services are provided free of charge to the patients and their families.
